'Clunkers' Clunked! Reveals Government Spy Machine
While supporters of "cash for clunkers" say the results prove the program has been an overwhelming success, critics argue that it demonstrates the incompetence of the federal government in estimating anything and managing tax payer dollars. The program ran out of money in about four days instead of the estimated four months and there were virtually NO notable pre-qualifications for the clunkers or the buyers.
In the middle of all the car buyers euphoria, there wasn't much focus on the fact that this was not about helping the American car companies that also received your tax dollars, because there were no brand restrictions.
So you, if you are a taxpayer, are paying that $4500 for each turned in clunker. If you or your neighbor turned in a clunker and got 4500 dollars for the trade in, you can bet it will show up one of these days on your tax bill, and your neighbor's tax bill and so on.
And if that's not bad enough, there seems to be a bigger problem. The goverment is starting to put web sites up that hide the fact that your computer, everything you do on it, your files, the works, can be monitored by the government. In fact if you go to WWW.CARS.COM and agree to the terms of use, your computer and everything on it become the property of the government. You think I am kidding? Watch the video.
Did you take advantage of the program? Should it be continued?
Are you willing to pay for this? (If you're a tax payer, you are paying!)
DID YOU VISIT CARS.COM? You may want to get a new computer!
