Do We Know Everything About Clinton's Ling and Lee Rescue?
August 5, 2009 - We are all happy to see Laura Ling and Euna Lee back home and appreciate former President, Bill Clinton's trip to North Korea. He is a superb statesman.
The White House is rather benign about this. This morning, a statement by President Obama was about as generic as it could be, "Not only is this White House obviously extraordinarily happy," he said in a brief statement, "but all Americans should be grateful to both President Bill Clinton and Vice president Al Gore for their extraordinary work."
This news is all over the North Korean television and the world, showing Clinton with Kim Jong-II and yes indeed, they are getting what they apparently wanted, some good PR. But . . .
DO YOU THINK there is more to it than this? Do you think we gave something else up? Are our "hang tough" days over with North Korea? Other rogue nations? WATCH THE BURBANK, CA ARRIVAL VIDEO and scroll down to tell me what you think.
