If you want to know what your senators and representatives do before they do it, you need to contact them now. Let them know in no uncertain terms, that if they vote for health care reform that is an amendment to another bill —— using this kind of slight-of-hand, by-passing normal channels, they will indeed be voted out of office.

Another reason to get the current, do-anything members of Congress out of office regardless of which side of the isle you favor: Reliable rumor has it that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is contemplating adding a senate health care reform bill (which one, we do not really know) as an amendment to House bill, HR 1586, a revenue initiative. With 60 votes, he plans to approve the Bill and send it back to the House without a joint conference committee — without releasing the contents to the public. *

HR 1586, introduced by Rep. Charles Rangel [D-NY15] in March would impose a new 90% tax on bonuses received by employees of certain companies that received funds from the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).

There are rumors that the Baucus bill is not a complete bill — reason why the budget office could not accurately cost it out and why Baucus refuses to upload it to the Internet. 

Any President who serves on behalf of all the people, would not sign such a bill. If President Obama receives health care reform as an amendment and he signs the bill, he will not be credited with passing health care reform. Instead he will be discredited, having signed secret legislation maneuvered by one of the most despicable Senate majority leaders in history.
